1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Issue Shield, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Description of Service

Issue Shield provides automated backup services for GitHub issues. We connect to your GitHub repositories via webhooks and store copies of your issues in your chosen storage provider.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • One person or legal entity per account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission

5. Payment Terms

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our refund policy
  • We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new customers
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice (grandfather clause applies to existing customers)

6. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to your GitHub issues and data. We claim no ownership over your content. You grant us a limited license to provide the backup service.

7. Service Level Agreement

  • We strive for 99.99% uptime
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
  • We are not responsible for GitHub API downtime
  • Backup frequency depends on your subscription tier

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ISSUE SHIELD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

9. Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms
  • Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately
  • You can export your data before termination

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the service.
